Neurotoxins
Neurotoxin is a non-surgical facial treatment for relieving facial wrinkles, particularly the wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyes, and in the “crows feet” areas on the upper third of the face. At Optimize U we offer neurotoxins including Botox, Dysport and Jeauvu. During your consultation we will discuss goals, options and create a treatment plan based off of desired result.
Neurotoxins work by blocking transmission of the nerve signal to the muscles which then relaxes the muscle. Normally, when the pull of the muscles relaxes, the overlying skin flattens. Sometimes we relax the underlying muscle and the wrinkle, crease, fold or line is still visible. In that case, we use Botox to relax the muscle, and we use a dermal filler to fill in the crease or sculptra & micro-needling to induce collagen production.
Kybella
Sub-mental fullness, better known as a “double chin,” can be embarrassing. A double chin can make you appear heavier than you are, look unflattering in photos, and can be resistant to diet and exercise. Annoying fat under the chin is notoriously difficult to get rid of – until now. At Optimize U we offer Kybella, it is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment used to reduce fat under the chin. Kybella uses Deoxycholic acid to assist the body in the destruction of fat cells. Once injected it breaks down the membrane of fat cells causing them to collapse and release the fat held within, meaning the fat is PERMANENTLY destroyed.
Sculptra
When it comes to skin rejuvenation, there are several dermal filler options on the market, but Sculptra stands apart. It is formulated with poly-L-lactic acid in a smooth, flexible gel that can replace the lost collagen in the skin that causes shallow lines, wrinkles, and folds.
Other dermal fillers can help provide a fast, “quick fix” solution for patients who are looking for immediate results, but Sculptra offers a more gradual alternative. When administered as a series of about three injections over the course of a few months, Sculptra can create visible correction for up to two years with optimal treatment.
